FMD team and clients support cancer research
As we come to the end of 2023, we’re proud to announce that, thanks to our dedicated participants and the generosity of staff and clients, this year we raised over $10,000 for The Leukaemia Foundation.
Fundraising events included a staff raffle, the “Nearest the Pin” event at the Annual FMD Golf Day, the Great FMD Bake Off and the efforts of an FMD Team at Run Melbourne.
FMD matched this fundraising up to $2000 per event and we were recently able to present this grand total to Leukaemia Foundation representatives at a celebration in the FMD office in Melbourne.
We were proud to play our part in supporting the vital work of Australia’s only dedicated blood cancer support service and pleased to contribute this directly to the cause.
Thanks also to Michael Russell’s efforts earlier in the year in the Great Postie Bike Adventure, a 4-day ride through Northwest Tasmania.
Michael raised a further $4,100 (including a starting contribution of $1,500 from FMD). The overall event raised over $100,000, which was donated to raise awareness and vital funds for cancer support services for Echuca Regional Health and the WP Holman Clinic in Launceston.
Of course, none of this could be achieved without the unflagging support and commitment of our client community, who generously donated to these worthy causes.
We’re always grateful for your support and your contributions are highly valued by the causes that you help.

As we’ve grown, giving back to the community and supporting causes close to the hearts of our staff and clients has remained important to us. We’re looking forward to continuing our fundraising efforts in 2024.
